The sardine-tin sea
The sea inside the sardine tin on the bench. It’s mostly oil.

You climb in through the lid in Always On and come down a ladder onto tin decks, oily decks and planks over a moving sea. Captain Brine runs the place, Gill sells bait and tackle (mostly tackle), and Lumen keeps the lighthouse. A sealed lid blocks the bridge to the far end, where the good oil is, and the Opener.
A one-way current runs back to the ladder. A bottle on the beach holds a receipt.
