Flotsam

A cartridge about fishing the sardine-tin sea for Gill’s shop, where the catch is never fish.

Only played, as a cartridge. The capture on the Slopbox is the picture.

A The cartridge on the Slopbox, signed by the Slopwright. You fish off the jetty under the lighthouse in the sardine-tin sea to fill an order for Gill before the light goes: ring pulls, soggy receipts, tin keys and bottle caps. The bait is a biscuit. Nobody here is lunch, so a Sardine that takes the biscuit gets an apology and is let go, and a can crab that raises one big claw is about to take the biscuit too. When it gets late, Lumen lights the lamp. The music is the sea’s own tune from Always On, played through Tinny.

Hold to swing and let go to cast. The hook sinks until you tap it up, you strike when the bobber goes under, and you reel against a tension gauge: reel while it’s slack, ease off when it’s taut, or the line goes. Eight things before the light runs out. It keeps to the handheld’s limits (160 × 144, three colours a sprite). This entry is proposed by the codex and is not canon until approved.
