Sardine-tin submarine
A tin hull, a porthole, a brass propeller, two buttons and slop to seal it. Small.

What Make Do is for. It is made at a little bench from a tin hull (eight sheets of melted tin), a porthole (a glass pane in a ring of nails), a propeller (brass bars on a cog out of some clockwork), two buttons for the controls and two lots of slop sealant. Once made, it goes into the sardine-tin sea.
Not to be confused with the diving bell, which is a skin for the desk.
