The sardine tin
A sealed sardine tin on the bench. The lid rolls back on a whole sea.

“A sardine tin on the bench, sealed. The key is missing.” In Always On the tin key opens it, and you climb in: inside is the sardine-tin sea. The Slopwright is not surprised. “The tin’s a sea now. Some tins are.”
A sea in a sardine tin is the first thing anyone says about the Slopwright, and the portrait of him on slopped.site shows him building a seaside town in one. In Benchwork a sardine tin is the trinket you start with, and heals you after every fight. The live ones in Skim and Paperweight are their own entry.
