Lamp Post
Pinball on the Slopwright’s bench. Two rulers, three thimbles, one lamp.

A pinball game on the Slopwright’s bench: “The Slopwright tilted his bench and left a ball bearing on it. Keep it off the floor, and light the lamp.” The flippers are two wooden rulers, the bumpers are thimbles, the slingshots are rubber bands on pins, and the targets are four wooden letter blocks that spell LAMP. Spell it, hit the lamp, and it lights: three ball bearings at once.
The ramp goes up through an open sardine tin and back down the left; the top lanes are oil, wick and glass, what the lamp needed in Always On. Whether the lamp on the table is the lamp that’s always on is not on record. A bot fired a few million ball bearings at the table before anyone played it, to make sure none went through a ruler.
