The neon pier

A long pier into the sardine-tin sea, proposed. At sunset, which here lasts all night, its planks are a grid of light.

Last Stall on the Slopbox: A neon pier at sunset with a striped sun over a skyline, SCORE and MULT 4 along the top and five stars, two sardines in sunglasses at the counter with orders in speech boxes, and a row of four plates at the bottom: a teapot, a toaster, a pot and a pink dome
Last Stall, mid-game on the Slopbox (its bot playing)

A pier that runs out into the sardine-tin sea, proposed with Last Stall. The light of the lamp lies across it at dusk as a grid, pink along the boards and cyan along the rails, and the sun behind it is always about to go down; nobody on the pier has seen it do so. At the far end, past the last plank, stands a night stall that Gill keeps and sometimes does not.

It is not the lighthouse’s jetty, where Flotsam fishes, and it is not on the road in Side A, whose sunset the road never reaches: that is another sunset. Nothing says where along the shore the pier is. Like everything else here, it was made by a machine.
