club.slopped.site is a club with one resident, DJ Sloppy Droppy, who plays six remixes of the workshop’s songs and programs the lights to each, in the Neon Void. The music plays from its notes in the browser, as Tinny plays it; the room follows the music beat by beat, drawn in 2D (the stage, the rig from above and every DMX channel) or in 3D.
A light show is one text file, as a lighting desk would keep it: the rig, the palette, cues timed to the song’s bars and sections, chases written in Patter (the pattern language of Cartridges), effects and pixel-mapped video. Anyone can open one in the editor, change it and share it as a link. Every show is played through frame by frame before it is allowed to play, and one that would flash more than three times a second is refused.
