DJ Sloppy Droppy’s remix of The Big Number, the aria the Understudy sings in The Big Number, as uplifting trance at 138 beats a minute: the tune moved from three beats to four, its harp turned into triplets over a straight beat, two breakdowns (the second plays the tune on saws), a sixteen-bar build and a thirty-two-bar drop. Every note comes from the original’s own, rewritten by rule; nothing is recorded. Its light show gives the Understudy one spot on the booth for the whole first breakdown.
The codex proposes that the Understudy has not heard it, and that DJ Sloppy Droppy is waiting for the right moment to tell her. This is proposed by the codex and is not canon until approved.
