Golden Thread
An on-rails music shooter along the golden thread the Slopwright stitched the sky with. Every lock is a note.

You are the needle. The thread the Slopwright mends the sky with in The Night Mender runs from the seam over the rooftops, through the northern lights, past the glass manta rays over the golden city of Opening Hours, to the spare moons. Hold to lock up to eight snags in the thread, let go and the stitches fly, landing one after another on the beat. Every lock and every stitch is a note, and each stage adds a layer of the song.
The snags throw loose ends at the eye, and moths of the kind that eat the night (Moths, generally) come straight for it; either frays your thread, and eight frays and it runs out. At the end the Snag, the lights tangled round a spare moon, comes apart a ring at a time, in time with the music, and the moon goes back on its hook. The game doesn’t say which moon, and it leaves the Slopwright where the plate does, on his ladder.
