Sky caught on things

Comets, the moon, lightning, fog and dust snagged on antennas, wires, fences and branches.

A rooftop antenna catches the glowing tail of a comet above a sleeping city. The forecast is clear, apart from that.
“Comet tail snagged on antenna”, Fresh slop

On the wall the sky catches on whatever is nearest. A comet’s glowing tail is snagged on a rooftop antenna, and another comet has caught on a rusty fence; the full moon appears doubled where it meets overhead wires; a lightning strike threads through the fork of a dead tree; low fog hangs over a stone wall and fence in strands, and lavender fog stops dead at a metal gate; a column of dust breaks apart beside a dry field; a dark cloud fills a web stretched between stone columns, and a cloud of flour hangs in a barn, held by another; gulls pass through, or stop at, an invisible dark wall over the sea; a dark sphere blocks the sun above a city roof, held by a thin line to an antenna; a crumpled kite lies on a field with its string pulled up to a pinched knot of blue sky.

In Golden Thread the night’s thread tangles into snags, and the Snag is the northern lights wound round a spare moon; on the wall the lights have snagged on a radio mast (Knots). The codex proposes that these are snags too, smaller ones, and that the sky is always tangling on something. This entry is proposed by the codex, from pictures on the wall that are all machine-made, and is not canon until approved.

In Meinong’s jungle
“Comet tail snagged on antenna”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. A tail caught on an antenna is gravity behaving badly. The skywide snag is otherwise coherent.
In Meinong’s jungle
“Caught moon”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. The moon doubles where it meets overhead wires. The grid collected a small celestial deposit.
In Meinong’s jungle
“Fog snag”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. Fog catches on a stone wall and fence. The weather has been snagged on the boundary.
