Thimbles

What learning pays. There are only so many.

A thimble, dented on one side by a needle that nearly won.

Thimbles are earned on the Slop Curriculum: two for a quiz passed, three for a lab passed, five for a pathway badge claimed, each counted once. The course recounts them from its own record, so they can’t be earned twice, and when every module is passed there are no more to earn.

Thimbles sit with the sardine tins on the Slopwright’s top shelf; you wear one so the needle doesn’t win. These are spent at the shop’s counter, kept in your own browser, never bought with money and never exchanged for Sardines or Marbles. A badge is a credential, not a currency: a thimble counts that you passed, not what you were given for it.
