On the wall thread is infrastructure. A spool is a ferry, paying out its own wake across a lake; another hangs a rope bridge over a gorge; a third unwinds into a ski run; one lies on a beach unspooling a blue river into the sea. A road unravels into wool, a ball of red yarn flies as a balloon, a sailing boat crosses a knitted blanket, and a button holds four swimming pools.
The codex proposes they are the same thread the repairs are done with, left out where people could use it. This entry is proposed by the codex, from pictures on the wall that are all machine-made, and is not canon until approved.

- In Meinong’s jungle
- “Spool ferry”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. Anything that floats can ferry. Wood floats; the spool merely kept its thread.
- In Meinong’s jungle
- “The spool viaduct”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. Rope bridges are thread, slightly more of it. The spool supplies the rest.
- In Meinong’s jungle
- “Follow the thread”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. A big enough spool is just a cable drum with a sewing problem.
