Themes

Every site with the shared header has a Theme control in its drawer: Follow my device, Light, Dark, High contrast, and three outfits borrowed from the garden of outfits: 1998, Blueprint and Sardine tin. Choosing one on any site holds on all of them, and the page is never rewritten for it: only its colours change. Light is the house as it was delivered; Dark is the same workshop with the big light off.

The choice is kept in your own browser, in one small cookie every slopped.site can read and a copy in local storage, and is never sent anywhere. The pictures, the games and Fresh slop keep their own colours whatever the theme. On the desk, in Tinny and in the shell a theme also picks the skin, unless you picked one yourself. The garden itself has no JavaScript, so it follows the device instead. Like everything else here, the themes were made by machines.
