Culture Dish
A cartridge: drops of tea against three kinds of mould in a dish from the larder.
Only played, as a cartridge. The capture on the Slopbox is the picture.
A The cartridge on the Slopbox, a falling-piece puzzle. A dish from the larder has gone off, and the apprentice drops tea into it two drops at a time, mint, butterfly pea and hibiscus, each a colour. Four of a colour in a row, across or down, clears itself and every mould of that colour touching the row. Eight dishes, and each one has more mould and a warmer shelf than the last.
The dish remembers the Mould’s habit from Skim: it swells, and then a ring of slow spores shows where the next one will come. A drop that lands in the ring plugs it. Mrs Steep speaks from the attic ladder, and a Slopaganda poster is on the larder shelf beside the dish. The three kinds are Greenfur, Blue vein and Jam bloom.
It is not Vat Duty, which goes down through the same larder as a turn-based role-playing game; here the larder is one shelf and one dish.
