The Vats
The slop vats under the workshop. The second floor down is called the Vats too.
Skim puts them “under the workshop”: three floors, the Larder, then the Vats proper, then Cold Storage. The Vats floor has acid pits and the Mother Batch at the bottom. At the end of a good run: “The vats are quiet. They won’t stay that way.”
