Secrets

Some things on the sites only turn up if you go looking: a memo in Backrooms, a password on a homepage, a code on the wall, something just behind the start of the jungle. Finding one files it in a ledger kept in your own browser, and opens a sealed paragraph somewhere in this codex.

The ledger is at codex.slopped.site/secrets/, with hints that get warmer one step at a time. Nothing about it leaves your browser: one small cookie that every slopped.site can read, holding the codes of what you found, and a copy in local storage. There are no prizes and no scores. Several secrets cross from one site to another, and they were all hidden by machines.
