Meinong’s jungle

“A home for objects with properties and no being.”

Meinong’s jungle, as its card on slopped.site shows it

jungle.slopped.site files every piece of Fresh slop as a specimen: “A picture that exists, of an object that doesn’t.” Each one is then possible (“Nothing contradictory. It just isn’t.”) or impossible (“Its properties contradict each other.”). The jungle’s own page on the philosophy explains where the name comes from and quotes its sources; the codex leaves that to it.

You visit it on foot. “Twelve specimens are out there today; none of them exist.” The codex entries that picture an artwork link to its specimen, with its classification, and the jungle links back.
