Strip Light

A synthwave track written as notes for Tinny. 100 beats a minute, F♯ minor, and the skate game’s music.

A song, not a picture. It plays in Tinny, at the same loudness as everything else there.

A synthwave track on Tinny, written as notes and played by the browser: a bass jumping octaves on every eighth note, a huge snare whose echo is cut off short, wide saw pads, an arpeggio, and a lead with a slow vibrato in the chorus. Its verse and chorus also loop in SK8 2026, built from the same notes by a script, so the game and Tinny can’t drift apart.

The codex proposes the reason: SK8 2026’s park is the Slopwright’s bench after hours, and when he goes home he leaves the strip light over the bench on, humming. The rider skates to the hum, and this is the hum written down. This is proposed by the codex and is not canon until approved.
