Doors to another season
Doors standing on their own, opening from one season into the next.

On the wall some doors have no building. A red fire door stands in a snowfield and opens onto a green meadow; a doorway cut into a glacier opens onto a summer birch wood full of poppies; a giant domino in a red canyon has a doorway onto snowy pines; a light switch plate in a meadow opens onto a garden with a drawbridge. One blue door lies flat where a stream meets the sand and doesn’t open at all, and the water stops at its edge anyway.
The codex proposes they are the ways between seasons, and that a season that keeps to its own month, as Slopoween does, simply doesn’t use them. This entry is proposed by the codex, from pictures on the wall that are all machine-made, and is not canon until approved.

- In Meinong’s jungle
- “Emergency exit to spring”: Impossible, the round square kind. Snow on the near side, meadow on the far side, same field. One place cannot have two seasons at once.
- In Meinong’s jungle
- “A glacier opens to summer”: Impossible, the round square kind. One doorway, two seasons side by side, both in the same air. Winter and summer can’t share a threshold.
- In Meinong’s jungle
- “Winter draw”: Impossible, the round square kind. Behind a slab in a red canyon there should be more canyon. Through the door there is snow instead.
