Pocket Rule
A chiptune track written as notes for Tinny. 150 beats a minute, D major, four channels and no more.
A chiptune track on Tinny, written as notes and played by the browser the way an old handheld console’s sound chip would: two pulse waves (one for the tune, a thinner one whose quick arpeggio stands in for chords), a four-bit wave for the bass, and one noise channel that takes turns between the kick, the snare and the hat. A tool checks that it never needs a fifth. Because it keeps to four, it fits in a cartridge as written: its first section is kept as one, in Patter.
The codex proposes that the Slopwright wrote it to fit in the same pocket as his folding rule, and that it is about as long as the rule unfolded. This is proposed by the codex and is not canon until approved.
