Where the walnut theatre’s house lights are worked, with the big lever on it.

Above the gods of the walnut theatre. In Always On the big lever is up in the gods; in House Lights the desk is behind a hatch above them, up a shaft and through a crawl that only someone folded small gets through, and the house moth sits on it. Pull the big lever and the house lights go down, and the Understudy will go on. Like everything else here, it was made by a machine.
