Flames that stay lit
Candles and fires on the wall that won’t go out: in rain, in ice, in a gale.

On the wall small flames keep going where they shouldn’t. A candle flame in a gale doesn’t move while the curtains blow flat; candles on a stag’s antlers burn on in the rain; a candle burns with a flame of frosted ice and is still warm at the wick; fires burn inside an iceberg without melting it; snowballs on a frozen lake split open on molten rock, and nothing melts; a campfire burns on a riverbed, underwater; another stands frozen solid in an old freezer, flames and all; a log fire holds up a bowl of water on the tips of its flames without boiling it; a stump in a snowy burnt forest burns with black flames that give no light; a raincoat is packed with lit candles; climbers go up a stair cut into a burning candle; in Slopoween a whole substation runs on candles.
The lamp on the bench always comes back on, and the Draught has been trying to blow it out for years. The codex proposes these as its relations, which the Draught has not got round to. This entry is proposed by the codex, from pictures on the wall that are all machine-made, and is not canon until approved.

- In Meinong’s jungle
- “Tiny flame, enormous gust”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. A flame that blows a gale gets energy from nowhere. A physics outrage, a logical shrug.
- In Meinong’s jungle
- “Candlelit stag in rainy forest”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. Candle flames go out in the rain. These antlers keep theirs lit regardless.
- In Meinong’s jungle
- “Frozen flame, warm core”: Impossible, the round square kind. A flame is heat. One made of frost is burning cold, which is the two words cancelling out.

Pieces of Fresh slop with one like it in them, grouped here by the proposal. The pictures don’t say they are the same one.
