A spare light bulb
A spare light bulb with a small purple thunderstorm in it. It doesn’t work, and never did.

A patient on Sloperation’s bench: the storm has to come out without touching the glass. “It rumbles when you hold it. Hold it anyway.” On the wall a whole drawer of spare bulbs holds thunderstorms, and kept weather, an entry the codex proposes, files them with other weather kept in things.
