The Slopwright’s site

“The maker behind it all. Hours: yes.”

The Slopwright, pale with a curled spiral head and a ragged work apron, sits on top of a wooden ladder above moonlit rooftops and stitches a torn edge of the starry night sky with a glowing golden thread, a lit spool hanging from the ladder. Chimneys, spires and a full moon fill the night behind him.
The Night Mender — repairing the sky while everyone sleeps.

slopwright.slopped.site is his file, his rules, his history and his teaching, with plates of him at work. He got the site, by its own account, against his wishes. The codex’s timeline reads its history chapters.

The Slopwright, pale with a curled spiral head, brass hands and a stained work apron, hangs the black shadow of a rabbit on a coat hanger in a lamp-lit hallway. On the hooks beside it hang other lost shadows: a bird, a bicycle wheel and an umbrella.
Lost and Found — hanging up shadows until someone comes back for them.
