Post, going elsewhere

Post on the wall never goes where it was sent.

On a pebble beach at sunset, a red pillar box posts a long trail of stones up out of its slot and into the clouds. The tide brought them in; the post is taking them back.
“Pebbles return to the sky”, Fresh slop

A wall of brass post-office boxes pours desert sand onto the floor. Envelopes grow out of a lavender field at dusk, open like flowers. A red pillar box on a pebble beach posts the pebbles up into the sky. A cat lies halfway through a letterbox, drawn out thin as a hose, being posted. Elsewhere on the wall, napkins folded into birds and a line of plastic bags migrate.

Post for the night staff is forwarded to a homepage on GeoCities. The codex proposes that the rest of the post is forwarded too, and that these pictures are where it ends up. This entry is proposed by the codex, from pictures on the wall that are all machine-made, and is not canon until approved.

In Meinong’s jungle
“Pebbles return to the sky”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. Postboxes don’t launch stones and stones don’t climb. Gravity objects; logic doesn’t.
In Meinong’s jungle
“Desert sand from brass mailboxes”: Impossible, the round square kind. Each box holds a few letters, yet pours out a desert. More comes out than fits in.
In Meinong’s jungle
“Envelopes blooming in lavender twilight”: Possible, the golden mountain kind. Stationery that grows in rows is horticulture miscast. Unprecedented, but not a contradiction.
