The machine at the mending table in Six Appliances: it runs along a rail over the table, stops over you, and brings the needle down. It throws pins. Strips of paper blunt it. On the wall a sewing machine sews a dinner plate back together and another stitches the northern lights out of a pine forest (Repairs).
Like everything else here, it was made by a machine.
